YOUR SESSION, YOUR NUMBERS

Calculate your next step

Enter your own results to see your net Chimes rate and the extra time a target may take. No assumed game prices or earning rates.

Total Chimes earned during the session, before expenses.

Chimes spent during the same session. Enter 0 if none.

Actual time played, in minutes (0.1–10,080).

Your balance now, after the session. Income is not added again.

The cost you want to cover. Enter 0 if you have no spending target.

All fields are required. Use up to 2 decimal places; amounts may range from 0 to 1,000,000,000 Chimes. Edits to the sample keep its hypothetical label; choose Reset inputs before entering an actual session.

How the calculation works
  • Net earnings = session income − session expenses.
  • Net rate per hour = net earnings × 60 ÷ session minutes.
  • Remaining gap = target cost − current balance, with a minimum of zero.
  • Additional time = remaining gap ÷ net hourly rate. A zero or negative rate cannot estimate time to an unmet target.

The sample is hypothetical: 300 income − 60 expenses over 30 minutes gives 240 net Chimes and 480 Chimes/hour. With a current balance of 100 and a target of 500, the 400-Chime gap takes an estimated 50 more minutes at that rate.

Using the Scrooms Chimes calculator

  • Earned Chimes: all Chimes received during the measured session.
  • Spent Chimes: all Chimes spent during that same session. Enter zero if you spent none.
  • Session minutes: the full measured duration, greater than zero. Include travel, selling and interruptions if you want an estimate for a similar whole session.
  • Current balance: the Chimes you have now, after that sample. The tool does not add the sample's earnings to this balance again.
  • Target balance: the balance you want to reach, such as the price currently shown for your next instrument.

Use nonnegative amounts for income, spending, balance and target. Spending can exceed income; the result then shows a loss rather than turning it into zero.

How the estimate works

Calculator method
ResultCalculation
Session netEarned Chimes − spent Chimes
Net Chimes per hourSession net ÷ session minutes × 60
Remaining goalThe greater of zero or target balance − current balance
Estimated minutes remainingRemaining goal ÷ net Chimes per hour × 60

Time is estimated only when the remaining goal is positive and the net hourly rate is positive. A zero or negative rate cannot produce a useful arrival time. If your balance already meets the target, the remaining gap and time are zero.

The estimate assumes your future net rate matches this sample. It is arithmetic applied to your inputs, not a game simulation or a promise about your next session.

A worked example

Illustrative inputs, not a playtest: suppose you receive 300 Chimes, spend 60 and play for 30 minutes. Your net is 240 Chimes, equivalent to 480 net Chimes per hour.

If your current balance is 100 and your target is 500, you need 400 more. At the same net rate, the estimate is 50 additional minutes. A slower session, a different purchase or a break changes that result.

Use the instrument reference to identify a purchase, then check its live shop price. This example does not establish that any instrument or route earns 480 Chimes per hour.

Save a plan on this browser

Calculations run on your device. The tool does not upload your inputs or results, even if you allow site analytics.

  • Save stores the current plan in this browser only when you choose it.
  • Load brings back that saved plan; typing alone does not overwrite it.
  • Clear saved plan removes the saved copy. Clearing browser site data also removes it.
  • Copy writes a summary to your clipboard only when you click it. If your browser blocks copying, use the displayed result.

Tabs on this same site and browser share the saved copy, so saving in one tab can replace the plan another tab loads. There is no account or cloud sync. Read the privacy policy for storage and analytics choices.
